Kawasaki 1300 model designtions ?

Hi Folks,
I'm thinking that there's some confusion about model designations amongst Kawasaki's sixes.
Here's what I think I understand:
The KZ1300s were A1 through A5. I'm not sure, but I do not believe any KZ1300s were fuel injected.
The six cylinder Voyagers are designated as ZN1300 s. Aren't they all fuel injected?
I thought the ZG series included only four cylinder bikes starting with the ZG1000 Concours, the ZG1200 Voyager and today's ZG1400 Concours. But I've seen enough references to a ZG1300 that I'm wondering if there wasn't a another six cylinder touring bike, perhaps the last six, produced before the first Concours 1000.
Help me out please.

Hi Folks,
I'm finding a lot of conflicts as I try to identify a ZG1300. autoevolution.com specs a ZG1300 as a fuel injected six speed produced from '84 to '89.
Does any one here actually own a ZG1300?
TIA
Bill

Maybe a search by VIN?

"To search a Kawasaki KZ1300 by VIN, use online VIN decoder tools (like VinCheckUp or Cyclepedia ) to decode the 17-digit code for specific details like year, plant, and model series, often starting with 'JKZ' or 'KZT' for these big six-cylinder bikes, revealing manufacturing data and history, with paid services offering more detailed reports on salvage/theft records.   How to Search by VIN
  1. Locate the VIN: Find the 17-character Vehicle Identification Number on the steering neck or engine case of the KZ1300.
  2. Use a Decoder Tool: Enter the VIN into a specialized Kawasaki or motorcycle VIN decoder.
  3. Check for Key Codes:
    • JKZ/KZT: Often indicates Kawasaki (JKZ) or a specific KZ1300/Z1300 series (KZT).
    • Position 10 (Letter): Indicates the model year (e.g., 'A' for 1980, 'B' for 1981).
    • Positions 4-8: Reveal series, engine type, and body style (e.g., 'Z' for Z-series, 'V' for bike type).
  4. Get Detailed Info: Tools provide manufacturer data, assembly plant, engine specs, and sometimes maintenance/history.
  1.
 Where to Search
  • VinCheckUp: Lists VINs for KZ1300-A models.
  • GoodCar VIN Check : Offers detailed info on Kawasaki vehicles.
  • Cyclepedia : Free decoder for various makes, including Kawasaki.
  • CarVertical / NICB : For history reports (theft/salvage).
  •
Example: A VIN like
Code:
KZT30A001266
decodes to a 1979 KZ1300. "

Here is quite a comprehensive summation of the 1300 model variants.  It doesn't, however,  state that the 'KZ' standard models sold in the USA and Canada differed from the rest of the world 'Z' prefixed models, by having smaller fuel tank, wider handle bars, re-positioned rear turn signals, shorter rear fender, and the Kawasaki Clean Air system.
The 1984 ZG1300 - a naked bike with fuel injection - was not sold in the USA or Canada.   Those markets got the ZN1300 Voyager.
