And who do we get to thank for this???? I swear that we are on the verge of the proverbial "Shit is about to hit the fan" Over the past couple of years, it seems that nobody can play in the sandbox nicely anymore.

Anyidea why Canada would supsend services to EU destinations ? That sound very strange to me, since there are no tensions between both. I even heard speculations about Canada joining the EU ...

I was told by the "Post Office" that the E.U. is revamping their Postal system and this apparently has been taking some time.  Perhaps someone from across the Pond can clarify this.

hmm. The EU istself does nothave a unique Post system, but I know they changed regulations for the German post for small packages (small in terms of value) to counter the flood of Chinese shipments with low cost/ low quality goods.
In the past you could get shipments from third countries (eg, non EU States) without duty if the value had been below a certain threshold. The Chinese adjusted their declared value to remain under that limit and flooded our market, hence this new regulation.
