Would a new voltage regulator or stator boost my battery charging to 13-14 volts or should i just replace all my lights with led's to boost charging?

You should be getting about 13.6v at a minimum even with all the lights on. LEDs will give a very small alternator more room to move but at 12.5v there is a problem that needs attention. You may find the windings are suffering from being too hot which is a common problem. I have had 4 sets in mine over the years and finally solved the problem by getting a custom stator made by someone who knows more than Kawasaki about the problem.

Good info guys. I just ordered a Electrosport high output stator and Electrosport heavy duty cdi unit and bought led bulbs. Will update when I put everything on.

Oh what I wouldn't give to have access to the thermo imaging camera I used back at the Nuclear plant. You could spot this type of problem way before it got to this point and in a few minutes as well. Hmmmmmmm just might have to go buy another play tool. (Don't tell my wife!!!!!!)
