Have these on my bikes.....and they haven't blown-up ! 
Now on someone else's 1300....albeit 45minutes too late !
$6.00 per fitting plus an appropriate size nut and bolt !  The "style" of air fitting is irrelevant as it gets cut off. 
Tap for a bolt of choice - otherwise, self explanatory.

I like the way this mod bolsters the casting of the tensioner and gives the backing rod a steel thread to work against. Much better than trying to fit a nut inside the tensioner casting.

Thanks.   Simple as it gets.  As it happens, the diameter of the Tensioner matches the internal thread dia. of the fitting.  6 to 8 rotations and the fitting "self-threads".  After assembling my first on I removed the fitting to check the '"witness" marks on the Tensioner.  It's not going to come off !!
